Local pods of Killer Whales can often be viewed from land or sea as
they pursue the salmon through the local waters. Otters, Mink, Bald
Eagles, Blue Heron, Sea Lions, Porpoise are often seen locally. However,
deer sightings are by far the most common as their population is large
due the absence of natural predators on Pender.
